i run 4 degres on my car, mines set up for the track. but it does about 95% of its driving on the street and 5% of its driving on the track

SEB are you talking castor or camber?

s13 LCA's bolt straight in and give approx. 3degrees of camber. use r31 castor/radius rods, 2x 280z right hand side tie rod ends(280z have opposing threaded rods for each side and bb's dont) to accomodate for the extra track, it was all posted up on 910bluebird.com but must have been lost.

This seems to be the final answer for a straight bolt in mod?

I've set my bluey up as a track car and have modified the front end myself. I have replaced the control arm bushes with rose joints to make them fully adjustable giving me 4 degrees Neg camber and have made the radius rods adjustable giving me 6 degrees caster. Strength isnt an issue as I believe they are stronger now than they were.

is neg camber where the wheels sit like this? / /____\ \  hope you get my diagram

if so, will r31 lcas give me this affect?

cheers

doubt it sorry as the r31 lca's are apparently shorter.

One of the guys over at AUS12 recently posted up a lot of good info on the S13/14/15 LCAs here - http://www.aus12.org/index.php?showtopic=5112

Quote
S13 - 350mm long (+10mm)
S12 - 340mm long (0)
R31 - 330mm long (-10mm)

S14 arms are reported to being approx 360mm long
S15 arms are said to be the same as S14 by some, and others say they are 370mm long

You can use S14 castor rod mounts that should come close to bolting up & then use S13/14/15 castor rods.

In the S12 I'm using S13 LCAs, 3RDS R31 adjustable castor rods & S13 coilovers. Current settings for the track are: Castor: Left 6'10" - Right 6'12"
Camber: Left 3'40" - Right 3'41"
Toe: Left 0.3mm - Right 0.3mm
KPI: Left 16'16" - Right 17'14"

With manual steering & sticky track tyres it's nigh on impossible to steer at low speeds with so much castor but high speed turns are very stable. When I had the castor back at about 4' it was much nicer on the road.

adam you wont be able to use the pintara or 280z tie rods or steering arms, as you are running S13 hubs and coil overs your steering arms are not interchangable

cna't even use s13 lca's on the hubs they were made for. thats dumb

all the s13 stuff is directly interchangable with bb stuff. 280z tie rods fit either bb or s13 hubs as they are the same sized sleeving. this was the setup i was running and never had a single problem...

steering arms and tie rod arms are dierent things things, on silvia hubs the steering arm is fixed, on old Z or bb style struts they are interchangable
